Join us for a memorable Eid al-Adha celebration at MBN’s annual shopping event, all happening under one roof at Wicket in Lombard, IL.
This year’s event will feature 40+ local vendors and food carts, giving you plenty of options to shop for Eid while supporting small, Muslim-owned businesses. From clothing and gifts to delicious eats, there’s something for everyone.
A major highlight of the day is our Hajj Simulation for kids, led by Ms. Mariya of CPSA, who brings over 25 years of experience in Islamic education. She’s incredibly loved by both children and parents, and her sessions are known for being engaging, meaningful, and fun. The simulations will take place at 2 PM, 4 PM, and 6 PM, and each child who completes the experience will receive a completion certificate and a goody bag.
To ensure every child has a quality, hands-on experience, spots for each session are limited. Pre-registration and payment are required, and walk-ins will not be accepted. We will not be adding additional sessions, so we strongly encourage families to reserve early.
While the kids are enjoying the simulation, parents can take their time shopping and exploring the event. There will also be plenty of additional entertainment for children, including a bounce house, face painting, and balloon twisting, making it a full family experience.
Last year’s Hajj simulation was a huge success, with amazing feedback from both kids and parents—so this year, we’re expanding capacity and adding an extra session to accommodate more families while still keeping the experience organized and enjoyable for everyone.

Ms. Mariya is a graduate of NIU with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She also holds a middle school endorsement and a Montessori Elementary I certification through the American Montessori Society. With over 18 years of experience in elementary education, she brings a thoughtful, student-centered approach to her work.
She’s also performed Hajj two times herself, so she brings a real, personal understanding of the experience. That’s a big part of what makes her such a great fit to lead the Hajj simulation—she’s not just teaching it, she’s lived it. She knows how to make it hands-on, engaging, and meaningful for kids, and they connect with that. Students loved her last year, and it showed in how excited and involved they were throughout the simulation.
